Issues
Better Jobs
The late Dr. Henry A. Stenta former principal of Howard High School taught me that "Better" was a word that speaks to the hope and aspirations of every person, of every creed and every race. In his words "Better Skills, Better Pay". As a city we must aggressively develop a workforce that can be employed by businesses and corporations in our City. We must prepare our youth for their future careers by increasing our pool of summer employment. And encourage Wilmingtonian's to pursue small business and entrepreneurial ventures.
Better Education
Wilmington must ensure a capable workforce by supporting the education of Wilmington children As a member of Wilmington City Council I will advocate for early childhood education for every Wilmington child. I will also work to maintain a neighborhood schools feeder pattern for students and an equitable disbursement of resources to city schools.
Better Public Safety
As your City Councilman I will work to make the connection with members of council and the administration to implement a neighborhood community policing plan. I will also support our first responders by assessing the best practices to recruit and retain the police force of our city.
Better Community Services
With a safe and secure City we will be able to continue the revitalization of Wilmington Life. We must provide after school programs for our youth in the Arts and Recreation activities that stimulate growth and creativity. Pursue a Healthy citizenry with Wellness activities and partnerships with local Hospitals.
Better Government
As a government we must be accountable to those that we serve. And as a member of City Council I will be committed to assuring a balanced budget, fiscal responsibility, and maintaining the current prosperity of our City without mismanagement of the tax payers dollars.
